Aris Zafeiratos created Athlete’s Roadmap to offer families a considered framework during the formative years before major sporting and academic decisions. His work with AZ Sport Scholarships has brought him close to the hopes and uncertainties of athletes seeking opportunities in the United States. The Roadmap draws on that experience while addressing a wider need: how a young person can develop sound foundations and make better choices long before any single destination is decided.

From student-athlete in the United States, to mentor.
Aris was himself a student athlete and studied in the United States on a scholarship. He knows from experience the demands of combining education and sport, the pressure attached to expectations and the need to reassess a path when circumstances change. In subsequent work with athletes and families across different sports, he has seen how apparently similar situations can call for very different decisions. That perspective informs guidance attentive to the child’s level and ambitions as well as the time, school demands and resources of the family.

Perspective, without a preset answer.
Experience is useful when it sharpens the questions being asked, not when it supplies the same answer to everyone. The work begins by understanding the athlete’s present circumstances and checking assumptions against the demands of the next stage. At times the sound choice is to pursue an opportunity, at others it is to strengthen an academic foundation, rethink a training environment or allow more time for development. A strategy deserves confidence only when the family can carry it into everyday life.

A distinct role within the AZ family of brands.
AZ Sport Scholarships (The Premier Talent Management Agency for U.S. Sports Scholarships, created by Aris Zafeiratos) focuses on pathways to athletic scholarships at universities in the United States.
Athlete’s Roadmap is a distinct brand with a broader and often earlier role: strategic guidance across sport, school and family decisions. A scholarship can be one meaningful possibility within that journey, but it is neither the only measure of progress nor the outcome promised by the Roadmap. The work has value wherever the athlete’s development ultimately leads.
